Job summary

Surrey Choices is hiring a Community Transport Driver to provide door-to-door transport for people we support, mainly at the start and end of the day. You will drive a company minibus and ensure safe transport to services and community activities.

Role requires a full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points and willingness to be trained in wheelchair safety. A rewarding role with progression opportunities and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified mini-bus driver with a valid UK licence.
• Experience in passenger transport or driving role preferred.
• Able to communicate clearly and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Provide door-to-door transport to service users.
• Drive company minibus safely and in line with policies.
• Build positive relationships with passengers and carers.
• Assist passengers on/off vehicle and ensure safety.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report issues.
• Use wheelchair safety equipment when required.
• Record incidents and report safeguarding concerns.
• Be flexible with start times and locations.
