Job summary

Minstead Trust in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide person-centred support in the community. You’ll help adults with learning disabilities maintain independence and work toward meaningful goals.

This part-time role covers Sundays 9am–6pm (20 hours) with additional hours negotiable. A full UK driving licence is essential; a DBS check will be conducted. Sponsorship is not available and your right to work in the UK must be demonstrated.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Ability to handle complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, positive approach; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to achieve health, wellbeing and independence goals.
• Deliver one-to-one support in community settings.
• Act as Key Worker for allocated individuals.
• Maintain records and reports.
