Rutland County Council is seeking an Assistant Care Manager to join our Adult Social Care team in Rutland. You will work in a team to undertake Care Act needs assessments, support planning and short-term interventions, while safeguarding and promoting independence.
The role requires good communication, strong organisational skills, and the ability to build partnerships with health professionals and carers. A DBS check is required and a driving licence is needed to travel across the county.

As an Assistant Care Manager your duties will include:
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Costs for the DBS are covered by Rutland County Council.
Please note that you will need a full driving licence to enable you to travel across the county.
We are looking for someone who is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for adults with care and support needs.
We would expect the individual to have a good understanding of adult social care legislation, safeguarding responsibilities, care assessment and support planning processes, and partnership working.
Strong communication, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective relationships with service users, carers, health professionals, and partner agencies.
The successful candidate should be capable of managing competing priorities, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to service improvement while ensuring compliance with statutory duties, policies, and quality standards. A proactive,compassionate, and solution-focused approach, combined with acommitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding, would be highly valued.
