A leading charity in Stockport is seeking two Community Support Workers to provide care and support to individuals with complex needs. The role involves working in a caring environment, promoting independence, and ensuring individuals receive the highest level of support. We are seeking two Community Support Workers to join one of our community-based services in Brinnington, Stockport. Our service aims to provide extensive care, specialist positive behaviour support, and promote independence and inclusion within the local community. We work to empower individuals to take control of their own lives. The main focus is to provide the highest level of support to enable greater independence, choice, and fulfilment for individuals.
– 32.5 hours per week. Hours range from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work is also required on a rota.
– £21,406.67 plus enhanced pay for weekend hours of +25% hourly rate.
– Full-time equivalent salary for 37.5 hours is £24,700.00 (Real Living Wage £21.67 per hour).
– Berwick Day Service, Brinnington, Stockport, a Together Trust Service.
The individuals we support have complex needs, including learning difficulties, Autism spectrum conditions, behaviours perceived as challenging, mobility, communication, health, and social care needs.

You will work in a caring day service, supporting individuals with all their needs, providing care, love, and support as if they were family.
We seek Community Support Workers with resilience and ability to work with challenging behaviour in a caring, consistent manner, maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating openly and honestly.
Capability to undertake a full range of tasks in a well-planned, respectful manner.
