Salary: up to £13.75 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week

Brainkind is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people in regaining lost skills. We treat individuals with a range of brain injuries caused by trauma, illness, substance abuse, and more, helping them recover and meet their personal goals. The Role

As a Community Support Worker, you will provide personal care to the individuals we support and ensure we meet high standards. Your responsibilities include supporting service users with activities such as visits to the local community, attending appointments, and other engagements. Driver not essential but preferred.

You will experience great job satisfaction by helping individuals do more for themselves and live fulfilling lives. We support your career development and will guide you throughout your journey.

About you

No specific experience is required; your personality and values are key. We can train you to become a skilled rehabilitation support worker if you:

  • Have genuine empathy, positivity, patience, and resilience to support residents through their rehabilitation
  • Enjoy teamwork and take pride in your work
  • Possess excellent face-to-face communication skills and good literacy
  • Have good time management skills and can prioritize tasks
