Join to apply for the Community Staff Nurse role at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Treatment Room service in the Greater Preston and Chorley South Ribble areas.

If you are able to work autonomously, motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic, come and join our team of dedicated treatment room nurses.

The Treatment Room service operates from Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays. We are an appointment-only service between 08:30 and 16:30, with two late evening clinics (up to 8 pm) and one early clinic (8 am start) weekly.

Applicants must be willing to work flexibly over 5 days, collaborate well within a team, and work on their own initiative.

The Treatment Room provides care for patients with acute/chronic wounds, post-operative wound assessment, removal of sutures and clips, intra-muscular injections, lower limb assessments, compression bandaging, and ear irrigation.

The post holder will possess a broad range of clinical skills, participating in all aspects of nursing care within treatment rooms, including nurse-led services. They will ensure high standards of clinical/nursing care, participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs, and undertake extended roles as appropriate. They will also participate in clinical and service audits and adhere to all relevant policies and protocols.

The post holder will assist in delivering the objectives outlined in the Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust business plan.

The Trust provides various services, including secondary mental health care, inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, forensic services, and physical health and well-being services across Lancashire, Cumbria, and Sefton, in partnership with local organizations.
