Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Slough is hiring a full-time Speech and Language Therapy Assistant (Band 4) to join the Community Adult SLT Team across East Berkshire. You will help deliver therapeutic programmes and support service development under experienced colleagues.

The role offers supervision, learning and development opportunities, with agile working and access to a range of resources to support patient care and student placements.

Competenze

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication to meet the needs of adults with communication difficulties.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective therapeutic relationships with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
• Good organisational and IT skills, including accurate record keeping and the ability to use digital systems to support clinical work.

Mansioni

• Deliver therapeutic programmes for a mixed caseload including dysphagia and communication.
• Provide one-to-one and group therapy sessions under supervision of a speech and language therapist.
• Shadow and learn from qualified therapists to develop knowledge and skills, including discharge and referral processes.
