Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work with children and young people in Reading. The role offers a mix of community, educational, and home settings with travel and some home working.

You will deliver high-quality SLT services, collaborate with advanced clinicians, and support junior staff within the CYPIT model. A full UK driving licence and a commitment to equality are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with experience in pediatric developmental and complex needs.
• Excellent communication skills with families and professionals.
• Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental/complex needs.
• Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting CYPIT model delivery and supervision of junior staff.
• Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records and provide written therapy plans and reports including EHC processes.
• Use needs-led, impact-based clinical decision making and relevant outcome measures.
• Provide specialist clinical care including assessment, diagnosis and intervention.
