Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist. The role involves assessing, managing and discharging children aged 0–18 years across educational settings, clinics and home visits with supervision as needed.

We welcome experienced SLTs and new graduates aiming to complete NQP competencies. The Trust offers a multi-professional preceptorship and opportunities for CPD and academic study within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree is essential.
• HCPC Registration is essential.
• Membership of RCSLT is preferred.
• GCSEs English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Three A-levels (or equivalent) are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop and discharge children 0–18 years using a shared caseload with supervision.
• Clinical work conducted in educational settings, clinics and family homes as appropriate.
• Engage in CPD activities and opportunities for Masters/PhD level study.
• Contribute to a research-active trust and clinical governance.
