Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist for a fixed term rotational post within the Community Integrated Neuro and Stroke Service (CINSS) and the Adult Community SLT Team. The role includes home visits, clinic appointments and collaborative work with SLTs specialising in neurology, voice and dysfluency.

Responsibilities

• Be integral part of the Community Integrated Neuro and Stroke Service/Adult Community SLT service.
• Provide evidenced based therapy assessments and appropriate therapy intervention.
• Follow defined stroke and neurological care pathways and rehabilitation pathways as directed by line management.
• Liaise closely with members of the interdisciplinary team and wider multidisciplinary team to facilitate effective caseload management.
• Utilise specialist skill and knowledge to manage a neurological caseload.
• Utilise a comprehensive range of evidenced based specialist assessments and treatment to patients in their home or clinic environments.
• Assist in quality and activity monitoring systems to support evaluation of effectiveness of the service.
• Assist in the maintenance and development of the service.
