Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to support adults in the boroughs with rehabilitation following illness. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering programmes designed by qualified therapists, managing caseloads and assisting with therapy sessions in homes and community venues.

The role emphasizes autonomous practice within agreed competencies, excellent communication, and compassionate patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Deliver rehabilitation programmes delegated and supervised by qualified Speech and Language Therapists.
• Manage and prioritise a delegated caseload, monitoring progress and reporting changes.
• Support patients with communication and swallowing difficulties following illness and neurological conditions.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy in community settings.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to report writing.

Responsibilities
