Job summary

Sunderland City Council’s Community Safety Service seeks a highly organised Community Safety Project Officer to join the Community Safety Strategy Team. You will help coordinate multi-agency reviews and campaigns, analyse data to identify emerging issues, and support the delivery of action plans that improve residents’ safety and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with multi-agency reviews, including ASB Case Reviews, Domestic Homicide Reviews and Offensive Weapon Homicide Reviews
• Analyse and interpret data and information to support intelligence-led and evidence-based decision-making
• Support the coordination and delivery of multi-agency projects, initiatives and action plans
• Work with locality-based Community Safety Hubs and partner agencies to support the delivery of local priorities
• Maintain and update community safety content on the Council's website and social media platforms
• Prepare reports, briefings, presentations and formal documentation for internal and external use
• Support the planning and delivery of public engagement events, community safety campaigns and training sessions
• Provide project, administrative and operational support to the Community Safety Service and Safer Sunderland Partnership
• Support external funding returns, record keeping, performance monitoring and the tracking of actions and outcomes
