Job summary

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service in Winsford is seeking a Community Prevention Team Lead to lead a team of Prevention Advocates and oversee safety messaging across Cheshire, focusing on those at greatest risk.

You will need strong leadership, engagement and presentation skills, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends. A GCSE English/Maths pass and a full driving licence are essential, with CFRS offering development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Educated to at least GCSE level, including English and Mathematics.
• Full driving licence.
• Experience leading teams and delivering frontline community safety interventions.
• Ability to communicate confidently with partners and the public.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Prevention Advocates within the Prevention Team.
• Oversee delivery of home fire safety, road safety and other key safety messages.
• Collaborate with external agencies and fire station personnel to reach high-risk groups.
• Prioritise tasks, manage competing demands and deliver against targets.
