Job summary

The National Fire Chiefs Council Limited is seeking an ambitious Community Safety and Partnership Manager for Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service to lead our Prevention function, shaping partnerships and directing prevention activity across communities.

You will develop and manage partnerships with health and social care, supervise staff, use data to set priorities, and represent the Service across networks to improve safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
• Experience in leading or supervising staff and managing performance.
• Ability to assess risk and handle complex or sensitive situations involving vulnerable people.
• Strong data and evidence-based decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop Community Safety Coordinators with supervision and performance support.
• Develop partnerships with health and adult social care partners and identify opportunities.
• Identify ways partners can support prevention activity and improve referrals.
• Use community, risk, fire, and prevention data to inform priorities.
• Coordinate prevention initiatives and multi‑agency interventions on hoarding and self-neglect.
• Support strategic prevention projects and safeguarding initiatives.
• Represent the Service professionally across partnership forums and networks.
