You will manage contracts, anti-social behaviour and community safety cases, working with residents and partner agencies to deliver practical solutions and lasting positive outcomes.
At Wales & West Housing, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe and secure in their home and community. As a Community Safety Officer, you will play a key role in helping residents overcome contract and neighbourhood challenges by delivering a proactive, person-centred and trauma-informed service.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference by managing anti-social behaviour, contract breaches and community safety concerns, working closely with residents and partner agencies to achieve positive and lasting outcomes.
We are looking for someone who combines strong contract management knowledge with excellent people skills. You will be confident handling sensitive situations, building positive relationships and finding practical solutions that put residents at the heart of what you do.
You will have experience of working in housing or a similar customer-focused environment, dealing with contract breaches, anti-social behaviour or neighbourhood issues. You will understand the importance of partnership working and be able to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues and external agencies.
We are looking for someone with experience of managing contract, anti-social behaviour or community safety cases within a housing or customer-focused environment. A good understanding of social housing, relevant legislation and the practical steps needed to investigate issues, gather evidence and bring cases to a successful resolution is essential. Strong organisational, investigative and problem-solving skills will help in managing a varied caseload and making informed decisions in often complex situations.
Equally important is a trauma-informed and person-centred approach, recognising the impact that circumstances can have on individuals and communities. Excellent communication skills are needed to build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and partner agencies, alongside the ability to prepare accurate reports, witness statements and legal documentation when required.
As a Community Safety Officer, you will manage a varied caseload of contract management and community safety issues, working with residents to understand what matters to them and finding solutions that improve outcomes for individuals and communities.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to residents and communities by managing a varied caseload of anti-social behaviour, contract breaches and neighbourhood issues. Working closely with residents, the focus is on using restorative and trauma-informed approaches to understand concerns, resolve disputes and find lasting solutions. Responsibilities also include gathering evidence, preparing witness statements, supporting legal action where appropriate and ensuring safeguarding concerns are identified and acted upon effectively.
The role requires close working with colleagues, community safety partners and other agencies to coordinate responses to complex cases and achieve positive outcomes for residents. Maintaining accurate records, monitoring case progress and using insight and performance information to support continuous improvement are also key aspects of the role.
