Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking Community Safety Intervention Officers to reduce anti-social behaviour and create safer neighbourhoods. You will manage cases from report to resolution, conduct risk assessments, and deliver targeted interventions to support victims and address community concerns.

You will work with residents, police, housing, social care and other partners to deliver place-based solutions, safeguard vulnerable people, and use data to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience managing anti-social behaviour (ASB) or related casework.
• Ability to assess risk and manage complex cases.
• Experience working with vulnerable individuals and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Manage ASB cases from report to resolution.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Investigate incidents and gather evidence; maintain records.
• Build evidence packs and support enforcement actions.
• Deliver a victim-focused service and refer safeguarding concerns.
• Work with partners to resolve issues and deliver place-based solutions.
• Prepare reports and use data to inform decisions.
