Job summary

Bethany Christian Trust is recruiting for a part-time Community Resettlement Worker to support men and women leaving prison. You will facilitate volunteer mentoring, build relationships across churches and organisations in the Central Belt, and work in a small team under the Community Reintegration Coordinator.

The role welcomes applicants with or without qualifications; a relevant SVQ3 is considered for higher starting salary. PVG membership is required; a church reference is needed.

Qualifications

• SVQ3 in a relevant qualification is acceptable.
• Membership of PVG scheme is required.
• One reference from church minister or leader to endorse faith is required.
• Driver with own vehicle is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate volunteer mentoring by working with churches and other organisations across the central belt of Scotland.
• Work as part of a team with Referrals and Communications Worker under supervision of the Community Reintegration Coordinator.
• Support men and women leaving prison to achieve goals and build a positive pathway after prison.
