Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the therapy team at Abingdon Community Hospital.

You will support registered practitioners in delivering safe, effective rehabilitation, participate in hands-on patient care and help empower patients to manage their conditions and return to community life. A DBS check is required and a full driving licence is necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience providing care or working with people in individual and group settings.

Responsibilities

• Support registered and practitioners in the delivery of safe and effective rehabilitative patient care assisting in the provision of prescribed programmes of treatment to patients and other duties under guidance and supervision.
• Liaise effectively by establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with other members of the inter-disciplinary team, patients, carers, and relatives.
• Participate in the hands-on delivery of patient care.
• Help the service to provide a high quality, efficient intensive rehabilitation service for adult patients in Oxfordshire.
• Empower clients to manage their conditions effectively and maximise their potential to reach their goals of self-management, access to environment and return to previous occupations and community involvement.
