Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland in St Andrews is seeking an experienced RSW to join the Community Rehabilitation Team. The role delivers therapeutic rehabilitation to adults in homes and in the community, working with OT and PT to implement treatment plans and support earlier discharge.

You will work 25 hours flexibly across 7 days, travel across the locality, and participate in supervision and PDP opportunities. Experience with older people and SVQ Level III in Health and Social Care are desired.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level III in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience as a support worker is desirable.
• Experience with older people is desirable.
• Good organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily rehabilitation programmes in the community to service users.
• Work with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams to deliver therapeutic treatment programmes in the home.
• Carry out ongoing treatment programmes for a mixed caseload, mainly older people.
• Travel throughout the area to different community sites.
• Engage in regular supervision and PDP and participate in training opportunities.
