Job summary

South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a Band 4 Recovery Support Worker to work with care coordinators and a full MDT in the community. You will help service users engage in recovery-focused activities, build daily living skills and support social inclusion in community settings.

The role emphasizes 1:1 work, risk assessment, and flexible approaches to meet individual needs. Successful candidates will join a growing, inclusive NHS team in London.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent including Maths and English.
• NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Care Certificate to be completed within 6 months of starting the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-focused support to service users and carers as per care plans.
• Attend team meetings and actively participate in care plan reviews and training.
• Promote independent living and meaningful daily activities for service users.
• Assist with 1:1 work, social inclusion activities, and linking with community resources.
• Assess risk and apply therapeutic engagement to support service users' recovery.
