Job summary

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust is seeking a Community Phlebotomist to travel across the locality, performing venepuncture in patients' homes and community settings. You will provide a professional, reassuring service and maintain accurate records to support timely diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Competitive salary (£25,760–£27,476) with High Cost Area allowance and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Phlebotomist in a healthcare setting is essential.
• Complete venepuncture training and competency assessment.
• Confident in working with patients and providing clear information.
• Good IT skills and accurate electronic record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Undertake venepuncture in patients' homes and community settings.
• Deliver a professional, caring service at all times.
• Label samples correctly and maintain accurate records.
• Provide information and reassurance to patients undergoing tests.
• Escalate concerns to Team Leader or GP as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with information governance.
• Work with community services to support patient care.
