Job summary

Modality Partnership in the UK seeks a dedicated phlebotomist to perform venepuncture and collect blood samples across in-house clinics and domiciliary visits. The post holder will work across sites, requires a driving licence and business insurance, and will support clinicians while maintaining safe, compassionate patient care.

As part of a large GP super-partnership, you will collaborate with the nursing team to ensure samples are correctly processed and recorded, contributing to high-quality

Qualifications

• Must have driving licence and business insurance.
• Experience performing venepuncture and collecting samples.
• Knowledge of infection prevention guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture following direct referral from a GP or nurse/nurse practitioner.
• Ensure accurate identification of patients and correct labelling of all blood samples.
• Record blood sample collections in patient records in line with practice procedures.
• Prepare and dispatch samples to laboratories in a timely manner.
• Support patients to feel comfortable and reassured during procedures.
• Follow infection prevention and control guidelines at all times.
• Escalate any clinical concerns or anomalies to a senior member of staff.
