Job summary

North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Community Phlebotomist to join our Domiciliary Phlebotomy Service. The role requires venipuncture competency in patients in the community and the ability to work independently.

You will carry out prescribed blood tests, maintain clear written and verbal communication, and input data into our electronic systems. A vehicle and business insurance are required to access patient locations.

Qualifications

• Must be clinically competent to carry out venipuncture in the community.
• Ability to obtain venous blood samples independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture requests for community patients.
• Work as part of a domiciliary phlebotomy team and manage own schedule.
• Prioritise daily tasks and input data into electronic systems.
