Job summary

Aspiring opportunity at Aspire Locums (Northwest) Limited for a Pharmacy Dispenser to support a pharmacist in dispensing medications and delivering outstanding customer service in a community setting.

You will prepare and label prescriptions, manage stock, and maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and compliance with NHS and GPhC standards. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for daily customer interactions.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is essential.
• Experience in a community pharmacy is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• High attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure is essential.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (ProScript, RXWeb) is essential.
• Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanour is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Label and package medicines according to legal and company standards.
• Manage stock levels, check expiry dates, and maintain accurate records of medications.
• Answer customer queries in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure prescriptions are processed safely and efficiently, including controlled drugs and private prescriptions.
• Support the pharmacist with administrative duties such as filing, ordering stock, and maintaining patient records.
• Adhere to NHS, GPhC, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy.
