Job summary

Aspire Locums (Northwest) Limited is seeking a self-motivated Pharmacy Dispenser for an Independent Community Pharmacy in Liverpool. You will support the Pharmacist in dispensing medications, delivering excellent customer service, and helping maintain smooth operations within the pharmacy.

The ideal candidate holds an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, has community pharmacy experience, strong communication and attention to detail, and familiarity with ProScript or RXWeb.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (ProScript, RXWeb).
• Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanour.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Label and package medicines according to legal and company standards.
• Manage stock levels, check expiry dates, and maintain accurate records of medications.
• Answer customer queries both in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure prescriptions are processed safely and efficiently, including controlled drugs and private prescriptions.
• Support the pharmacist with administrative duties such as filing, ordering stock, and maintaining patient records.
• Adhere to NHS, GPhC, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy.
