GSL Education is seeking an Outreach Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a student in the local community from Loughton. The role involves transporting the student to activities, building confidence and independence, and promoting engagement in meaningful community-based programmes.

You will work with young people who may have additional needs (SEN/SEMH, Autism, ADHD) and coordinate with schools, families and professionals to ensure consistent, safeguarding-focused support.

Qualificações

• Previous experience working with children or young people within education, youth work, care or support settings.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEN, SEMH, Autism or ADHD is desirable.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and a confident driver.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student within the community.
• Safely transport the student to and from activities, appointments and educational provisions.
• Use your initiative to identify and support engagement in positive and enriching activities.
• Build a strong, trusting relationship that promotes confidence, self-esteem and independence.
• Support the student in developing social skills, positive routines and community engagement.
• Liaise effectively with schools, parents/carers and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
• Monitor, record and report on progress, engagement and wellbeing.
