Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Community Staff Nurse (Band 5) for the Bladder and Bowel Team, covering South Cumbria and North Lancashire. The post is 33 hours per week, with a mix of clinic and home visits, managing a personal caseload and complex assessments.

You will work within the Integrated Community Care Group, collaborating with other professionals to promote patient-centred care and self-management for long-term conditions.

Qualifications

• At least one year’s post-registration experience, ideally in community care.
• Registered Nurse – Level 1 or 2 with current UK NMC registration.
• Knowledge of long-term conditions and self-management.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload in the Bladder and Bowel team.
• Undertake assessments and review patients with complex bladder and bowel needs.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and provide home-based care.
