Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic assistant to support midwives and professional staff with clerical and housekeeping duties. You will adhere to ULHT protocols, assist in maintaining equipment, handle enquiries, maintain ward readiness and use PAS and other IT systems with appropriate training.

Working within Lincoln Hospital's groups and Pilgrim/Grantham services, you will help ensure a safe, confidential environment and support delivery of supplies and data

Responsibilities

• Assist in the ongoing maintenance and ordering of equipment and stock.
• Communicate effectively with women, visitors and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Deal with enquiries from hospital staff/public and refer to the midwifery staff as necessary, maintaining confidentiality.
• Responsible for the preparation of ward/clinic rooms in readiness for use.
• Transmit, store and retrieve information using the PAS system and track notes.
• Maintain a safe environment by reporting faults and incidents to senior midwife/appropriate department promptly.
• Undertake a range of clerical duties to support the smooth running of the department and utilise a number of IT Systems following appropriate training.
• Support delivery of supplies/equipment for team if required.
• Input data onto various computer systems.
