Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Clinical Support Worker to assist in community mental health services. You will work under a registered nurse to provide person-centred care, monitor wellbeing and help clients live independently within their communities.

The role supports psychosocial interventions, care planning and collaboration with carers and external agencies. A driving licence and willingness to travel within the community are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous caring experience, preferably healthcare or mental health.
• Interest in supporting individuals with mental ill health and promoting recovery.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Confidence to work independently within guidelines.
• Strong communication skills with service users, carers and colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel in the community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and support to individuals within community mental health services under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Observe, monitor and report changes in wellbeing to support safe and effective care.
• Maintain accurate patient records to ensure effective communication across the care team.
• Act as a named co-wor king for service users when required, supporting care planning and engagement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, carers, families and external agencies to maximise outcomes.
• Support delivery of psychosocial interventions and community-based activities following training.
• Promote safe working practices, patient confidentiality and efficient use of resources.
