Job summary

Waythrough is recruiting a Recovery Worker to support adults aged 18+. The role is community-based across Cumbria, requiring a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided, with rotating 30-hour weeks and shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will help individuals develop personalised support plans, encourage independent living skills, and signpost to additional services.

Qualifications

• No previous relevant experience required; full training will be provided.
• Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
• This is a community-based role focused on mental health support.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, practical and emotional support to adults with mental health challenges.
• Develop and review personalised support plans with individuals reflecting their needs and goals.
• Support build confidence, resilience and coping strategies to manage mental health and everyday challenges.
• Encourage and empower individuals to develop independent living skills, including domestic and financial management.
• Support people to access opportunities within their communities, including employment, education and leisure activities.
• Deliver one-to-one support appointments and contribute to community drop-in sessions.
• Identify individuals' support needs and provide appropriate signposting and referrals to other services.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with people using our services, promoting choice, dignity and recovery.
