Job summary

Educators are seeking a part-time Library Assistant to support Sandfields Library in Port Talbot. Based at Morrison Rd, the role is fixed site and temporary for 3 months with the possibility of extension.

You will deliver a broad range of library services, assist the public, promote services, and engage with the community through outreach. Teamwork and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience of serving the public, ideally in a library or customer service setting.
• Experience of teamwork and strong communication skills.
• The ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day running and operation of the library.
• Help deliver a wide range of library and information services.
• Promote services in person and online and engage with the community.
