Job summary

Blackburn Central High School is recruiting a Casual Lettings Assistant to support community lettings in the evenings and at weekends. You will help open and secure premises, monitor activities and assist with equipment setup, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for users.

The role requires excellent customer service, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a lettings team. Zero-hours contract and casual terms apply.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work confidently on their own and as part of a team.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage a range of responsibilities.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.
• Flexible and available to work evenings and weekends.
• Experience in a sports, leisure or recreational environment is desirable.
• Hold a First Aid qualification or be willing to undertake training (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Open and secure school premises for lettings.
• Monitor activities and ensure safety during sessions.
• Assist with equipment setup and routine inspections.
• Support the smooth running of lettings sessions.
• Provide a welcoming environment for customers, visitors and community groups.
