Job summary

Moat is seeking a proactive Hub Officer at its Head Office in Dartford to deliver engaging activities across our community hubs. You will support residents, work with volunteers, and shape programmes with the Hub Senior Officer and Moat Foundation team.

The role focuses on building confidence, creating opportunities, and strengthening communities through inclusive activities. The ideal candidate brings strong communication, IT/admin skills (Microsoft Office), and a passion for helping people.

Qualifications

• A natural ability to connect with people of all ages, building trust and encouraging participation.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good IT and administrative skills, including Microsoft Office.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, including with volunteers.
• Creativity and initiative to design engaging, community-focused activities.
• A genuine passion for helping people achieve positive change.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver high-impact activities for children, young people, adults, and older residents
• Engage and support customers to build confidence, develop skills, and access new opportunities
• Bring communities together by encouraging participation and helping people build meaningful connections
• Collaborate with colleagues, volunteers, and local partners to develop exciting projects and initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve lives within your hub area through innovative programmes
• Capture and share success stories - collecting data, photos, and case studies that showcase our impact
• Support the development of our community offer, helping us continuously improve and grow
