Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is recruiting for Community Nursing Support Workers to join our teams across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. You will provide clinical care under a Registered Nurse, including wound care, medicines administration and catheter care, plus personal care to patients at home.

Core hours are 8am–6pm with weekend rota and no night shifts; car required with UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in functional skills Maths and English or equivalent qualification.
• Level 3 qualification in Care or equivalent relevant experience.
• Must have car for work and UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Providing clinical care delegated by a Registered Nurse, including management of wounds and leg ulcers, administration of medicines and catheter care.
• Providing personal care for patients.
• Working with the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Supporting patients to remain at home and avoid hospital admission.
• Promoting self-care and independence.
• Report changes in patient condition to the registered practitioner.
