Job summary

Maritime Health Partnership in Chatham is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team. You will deliver routine nursing care, manage chronic conditions, immunisations, cervical screening, venepuncture and wound care within a supportive GP practice.

You will work alongside GPs, a Nurse Manager and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide safe, patient-centred care and contribute to quality improvements across the service.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
• Experience in primary care, general practice or community nursing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Delivering routine nursing care and chronic disease management
• Childhood and adult immunisations
• Cervical cytology screening
• Venepuncture and specimen collection
• Wound care, dressings, suture and clip removal
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Travel health and vaccination advice
• Contraception and sexual health support
• Supporting QOF delivery
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with NMC standards
• Working collaboratively with GPs, HCAs, pharmacists and wider healthcare professionals
