Job Description:

Driven By Us is seeking a passionate, results-oriented Community & Events Manager to join our team. This role focuses on driving community growth and engagement, planning and executing dynamic events that resonate with our audience and contribute to our organization's goals. You will be responsible for fostering a vibrant community, building strong relationships, and organising impactful events both virtual and in-person to raise awareness and strengthen our organization.

As a part-time team member, you will oversee community development and manage events aligned with our strategy and values. You will work closely with internal teams to create meaningful experiences for our members while ensuring smooth event execution and community engagement.

Community Engagement:
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and expand the community, in line with the company’s objectives.
  • Manage and grow our community presence across various platforms, including social media.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages active participation and meaningful interactions.
  • Respond to community inquiries, comments, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Build relationships with key community members, nurturing loyalty and advocacy.
  • Track and analyze community engagement metrics to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collect and synthesize community feedback to inform product, marketing, and customer experience teams.
  • Enforce community guidelines to maintain a respectful and supportive space.
Event Planning & Execution:
  • Plan and execute engaging events, including virtual meetups, webinars, and external events, that resonate with the community and support business goals.
  • Coordinate event logistics, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Collaborate with sponsors, partners, and collaborators to enhance event success.
  • Promote events across appropriate channels for maximum visibility and participation.
  • Maintain records of budgets, expenditures, and performance metrics.
  • Handle last-minute changes or obstacles professionally to ensure event success.
Communication:
  • Work with internal teams to align event messaging and community strategies.
  • Ensure consistency of organisational messaging and brand identity across all interactions.
  • Encourage cross-functional participation in community and event activities.
