Job summary

Teesside Hospice is looking for a Community & Events Assistant to support a busy fundraising team. The role involves coordinating event logistics, supporting volunteers and delivering great supporter care to ensure campaigns run smoothly.

A DBS check is required, and there is a focus on accurate record-keeping and administration across fundraising activities. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and personable, with strong communication and attention to detail.

  • Coordinate event logistics and help run fundraising activities
  • Support volunteers and campaign volunteers across events and initiatives
  • Deliver excellent supporter care and respond to enquiries
  • Maintain accurate donor and event records and databases

Job description

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Will consider flexible working hours)

Salary: £25,000 per annum (full time equivalent)

Location: 1 Northgate Road, Middlesbrough, TS5 5NQ

Working alongside our Community & Events Fundraising Team, you'll provide administrative and operational support across a wide range of fundraising activities, events and campaigns. From coordinating event logistics and supporting volunteers to delivering excellent supporter care and maintaining accurate records, you'll help ensure our fundraisers and supporters have an outstanding experience every step of the way.

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and personable, with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You'll enjoy building relationships with supporters, working collaboratively with colleagues and representing the hospice at community events. Whether you already have experience in fundraising or are looking to develop your career within the charity sector, this is an exciting opportunity to join a values-driven organisation where your contribution will have a real impact.
