Job summary

Windward Energy group. is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to lead engagement with communities and local stakeholders across our grid infrastructure portfolio.

You will report to the Head of External Affairs and build trusted relationships with local authorities, communities and partners to ensure meaningful participation throughout project lifecycles. Working with cross-functional teams, you will develop strategies, monitor sentiment and inform development decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and delivering stakeholder and community engagement programmes.
• Experience managing external consultants or agencies.
• Proven track record in community engagement for complex projects.
• Experience building relationships with local authorities, elected members and community organisations.
• Experience facilitating public engagement events and workshops.
• Experience identifying and mitigating reputational risks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver stakeholder and community engagement strategies across the project portfolio.
• Build relationships with local authorities, councillors, community councils and partner organisations.
• Represent Green GEN Cymru in communities and across project areas throughout development lifecycle.
• Plan and deliver exhibitions, workshops, forums, drop-in events, briefings and meetings.
• Collaborate with External Affairs Head to create engagement plans for sensitive projects.
• Gather feedback and translate into actionable business insights.
• Coordinate with the Consents Team for engagement with statutory consultees.
• Support community benefit initiatives and social value partnerships.
• Monitor sentiment and manage reputational risks; work with external consultants when needed.
