Job summary

Green GEN Cymru is seeking a Community Engagement Manager in Cardiff to lead engagement with communities and local stakeholders across our grid infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Head of External Affairs, you will build trusted relationships with local authorities, councillors, community groups and partners to ensure meaningful input throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering stakeholder and community engagement programmes.
• Experience managing external consultants or suppliers.
• Proven track record in stakeholder engagement for complex projects.
• Experience building relationships with local authorities and communities.
• Experience planning and facilitating public engagement events.
• Experience coordinating inputs from internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies across projects.
• Build relationships with local authorities and community groups.
• Act as the principal community representative in project areas.
• Plan and deliver engagement activities (exhibitions, workshops, forums).
• Collaborate with External Affairs to develop engagement plans for sensitive projects.
• Coordinate engagement with statutory consultees with the Consents Team.
• Monitor sentiment and report insights.
