Job summary

Denbighshire County Council is seeking a Family Engagement Officer – Community Focused to work with schools and Education Services to support disadvantaged communities and improve school attendance.

The role is fixed-term until 31 March 2027, 37 hours per week, with a salary of £35,570–£37,563 per year. It requires collaboration with parents and LA services to achieve positive educational outcomes and will involve DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a school or community-focused school setting.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications or above in Education, Youth Work, Community Development, Family Support, Social Care, or related field.
• Level 2 qualification or equivalent in English/Welsh & Maths.

Responsibilities

• Support attendance and engagement of pupils in disadvantaged communities.
• Collaborate with schools, parents and LA services to improve education outcomes.
