AD TALENT RECRUITMENT is seeking a School Community Engagement Officer in Keighley to strengthen relationships with families and the wider community while developing a new Community Hub.

This role entails building positive relationships, organising community events, and supporting families needing assistance. The position offers fixed-term employment and professional development opportunities to shape a welcoming educational environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in schools, community work, youth work, or customer service is desirable but not essential.
• Enjoys building relationships and working with people.

School Community Engagement Officer

Location: Keighley BD20 West Yorkshire

Actual salary: £9,560 to £9,731 per annum
Full-time equivalent salary: £25,493 to £25,949 per annum
Band 7, SCP 11, dependent on length of service
15 hours per week | Term time only
Fixed-term contract for 2 years, funded by RISE

Start date: September 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic and approachable individual to join a pastoral and inclusion team as a Community Engagement Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to help strengthen relationships between a school, families, and the wider community, while supporting the development of a brand-new Community Hub.

About the Role

You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where families feel connected and supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Helping to develop the Community Hub as a welcoming space for families
• Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and the local community
• Organising events to encourage engagement in school life
• Supporting families who may benefit from additional help
• Strengthening links with feeder primary schools and supporting transition
• Signposting families to relevant services and opportunities
• Working with pastoral and attendance teams to remove barriers to engagement
• Promoting the organisation within the local community

• Enjoys building relationships and working with people

• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Is proactive and able to work independently
• Is committed to inclusion, belonging, and community

Experience in schools, community work, youth work, or customer service is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants with transferable skills and a passion for supporting others.
