Job summary

Learning Community Trust’s New Road Academy is seeking a Family Liaison Officer to work with families to help students return to and engage with learning. You will collaborate with the Education Welfare Officer and school teams to address attendance, punctuality, behaviour and engagement.

The role requires excellent communication, a commitment to working with young people and families, and a full driving licence for daily home visits. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance apply.

Responsibilities

• Support families and young people to return to academy life and engage with learning.
• Collaborate with Education Welfare Officer, Year Teams, Safeguarding Team and attendance staff to improve attendance and punctuality.
• Assist in student reintegration after absences and promote parental engagement in school events.
