Job summary

Arnold Hill Spencer Academy is seeking a proactive Family and Community Liaison Officer to help remove barriers to learning, improve attendance, and support wellbeing for students and families. You will build partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies, and contribute to the academy as a community hub with events and workshops.

The role involves working with vulnerable students, delivering workshops, and collaborating with safeguarding, attendance, SEND and pastoral teams to monitor

Responsibilities

• Provide early intervention and support during key transition periods.
• Address barriers to attendance and engagement with families.
• Conduct home visits and offer practical advice and support.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
• Work with safeguarding, attendance, SEND and pastoral teams.
• Deliver workshops, courses and community events for parents and carers.
• Monitor and evaluate interventions, maintain accurate records.
• Represent the academy at multi-agency meetings, safeguarding reviews and child protection conferences.
• Support students with social, emotional, medical, or additional learning needs.
