Job summary

The Learning Community Trust is seeking a proactive Family Liaison Officer to support families and young people returning to academy life. You will work closely with the school’s Education Welfare Officer, Year Teams and safeguarding staff to improve attendance, punctuality and engagement.

You will build trust with parents, provide practical support, and encourage active involvement in education. Daily home visits are a key part of the role and a full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Genuine commitment to working with young people and families.
• Full driving licence required; daily home visits.
• Experience within attendance and welfare support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support families and young people to return to academy life.
• Act as a link between home and school to overcome barriers.
• Promote parental engagement and celebrate attendance improvements.
• Support student reintegration following absences.
