Job summary

Arnold Hill Spencer Academy seeks an enthusiastic Family and Community Liaison Officer to remove barriers to learning, boost attendance, support wellbeing and help students reach their potential. You will build partnerships with families, carers and external agencies to ensure timely and effective support.

Responsibilities

• Provide early intervention and support during key transition periods.
• Work closely with families to address barriers to attendance and engagement.
• Conduct home visits and offer practical advice and support.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
• Work alongside safeguarding, attendance, SEND and pastoral teams.
• Deliver workshops, courses and community events for parents and carers.
• Monitor and evaluate interventions, maintaining accurate records.
• Represent the academy at multi-agency meetings, safeguarding reviews and child protection conferences.
• Support students experiencing social, emotional, medical or additional learning needs.
