Job summary

Reed is seeking an Audience Development Coordinator for Sheffield Libraries to lead a vibrant events programme, from author talks to large-scale activities like Comic Fest and the Summer Reading Challenge. You will engage with the community, plan diverse events, and support outreach across the library service.

The role offers a flexible hybrid pattern with three office days per week and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues on cross-team projects, delivering memorable events for residents

Qualifications

• Plan and coordinate a diverse range of events across Sheffield's libraries.
• Develop creative ideas for future events and activities.
• Support the execution of events such as author talks, history talks, re-enactments, Comic Fest, and the Summer Reading Challenge.
• Organise the upcoming Book Awards.
• Handle event administration and complete relevant forms.
• Coordinate payments for external contributors and suppliers.
• Promote library events through social media and create newsletters to showcase upcoming activities.

Responsibilities

• Attend events to ensure smooth operation, meet and greet the public, authors, speakers, and other guests.
• Introduce authors and speakers at events as required.
• Conduct outreach and networking to develop relationships with individuals, groups, and organisations.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and different teams across the library service.
