Job summary

Riverside is seeking an Engagement and Development Worker to empower customers through collaborative, person-centred activities across services. You will co-create programmes with customers and partner organisations to maximise growth and opportunities, while ensuring best practice and safeguarding.

The role emphasises inclusion and active customer involvement within a housing-related support setting. The position is hybrid with 37.5 hours per week, offering a permanent contract and a starting

Qualifications

• Understanding barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and health and safety requirements.
• Experience of devising and delivering activity programmes within supported housing.
• Team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible and resilient attitude.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• The ability to demonstrate initiative and the confidence to make and act on decisions.
• Competent administrative and IT skills and ability to produce reports and other communications.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to meet outcomes and develop independent living skills.
• Co-produce Riverside's commitment with customers across services.
• Apply for grants and fundraising for activities and events.
• Encourage customers to lead their own interest groups and sessions.
• Market programme of activities to ensure broad participation.
• Identify opportunities for employment, education and training.
• Deliver a programme reflecting diverse needs, including culture and diversity.
• Signpost customers to external support services including food banks.
