Job summary

Nottingham Mencap in Mansfield calls for caring Support and Enablement Workers to join the Befriending service in the Rainworth and Mansfield area. You will support individuals within their family home and in the community, helping them achieve social and personal goals.

Roles include a 10-hour position and various zero-hours shifts; induction and accredited online training are provided, with a friendly environment and Blue Light Card access.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities or autism.
• Reliable and able to use initiative.
• 1-2-1 community support for children, young people and adults.
• Male and driver-specific role for the 10 hour position.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals on a 1-2-1 basis in the community and at home.
• Help access community services and work towards personal aims (socialising, travel training, healthy living).
