Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is recruiting Relief Community Enablement Workers to assist adults with disabilities in Corby. The role offers flexible weekend and weekday shifts, with patterns including evenings, and enhanced rates after 8pm.

You will work with adults aged 18-65, delivering personal care, mobility support, medication administration, finances, and activities to promote independence in the community.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory clearance of an enhanced DBS check.
• Educated to GCSE or Equivalent.
• Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willing to work towards).

Responsibilities

• Support people in their own homes to live independently.
• Provide practical and emotional support per care plan.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and medication as directed.
• Assist with daily living tasks, finances, shopping and community access.
• Update daily records and liaise with external agencies.
• Undertake risk assessments and ensure safety for customers and staff.
• Review progress and adjust care plans in consultation with managers.
