Milestones Trust is seeking a Support Worker to enable adults with learning difficulties and visual impairments to lead active, fulfilling lives. You will support daily choices, help develop social and life skills, and enable community engagement.

Role involves driving the service vehicle and building relationships with families and the wider community. Training and progression opportunities are offered within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required and willingness to drive the service vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Encourage people to make day-to-day choices and develop health, self-image and independence.
• Support people to build relationships and keep in touch with family and friends.
• Help people develop social and life skills to maximise independence.
• Assist people to access local and wider community and maintain community presence.
• Support with personal finances, medications and planning new opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with staff, managers, people we support and stakeholders.
